What is the Saranac Community Club?

The Saranac Community Club, a gathering of business people, service organizations, and other interested individuals, began shortly after World War II. Since that time they have met to discuss community concerns. While the membership has changed, the intent and fellowship remain.

The Club now sponsors the annual Bridge Festival in August, which is a day of fun and friendship. Recent and continuing projects they have helped with are the Grand River boat launch areas; various Fire Department equipment updates and village signs, the downtown walkway, the new Village Park, a Community Calendar, Little League Baseball backstop, and assistance for individuals. The Club was instrumental in setting the Memorial Rock in honor of past Village President, Sue Ferguson, for her service to the community.

The most recent project completed is an updated flyer that provides information about Saranac. These flyers are distributed locally and also to the various Department of Transportation Welcome Centers around the state.
